Since bonding a blade is a poorly designed process, in which you decide who’ll get it before you even know what it does, it’s good to have a way to correct mistakes. Setting, story, music, characters, and late game combat were amazing. Kind of boring at times because there are so many cutscenese. Some nice visuals and fantastic music. but the added difficulty sliders helped with this as well. Even though i didn't give a shit about Pythra, I know that them coming back at the end would mean a lot to the people that did care for them so that was nice of the writer to do even if it didn't make sense story wise. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Mystery Launch Codes. It's such an epic and grandiose adventure, and the story blew my mind after it was all over especially after having finished Xenoblade Chronicles 1 for my first time within six months of completing this game. The sidequests are unique. The music is beautiful. 50 is average to me. Loved this game, my first Xenoblade. Jogo é muito bom, mas extremamente sexista dá pra dar uma aula completa do que não se deve fazer num game. For Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on the Nintendo Switch, a GameFAQs message board topic titled "how good is Wulfric ?". I found it extremely frustrating that I had to leave my odds of getting a blade I wanted to luck. I have been playing the Xenoblade Series since the first. SKN 3 years ago #1. I absolutely love the game, the characters, the story, etc. I almost gave it a 90% just because I do think Mythra/Pyra when you get access to Crit is broken, but I had to give it a 100% because it's been a long time since I've been so immersed in gameplay. Keeping track of everything from your blades and cores to Weapon Points, Art Points and more can be a bit complicated. Mostly because Agate's Side Quest is such a drag, I just can't deal with it. Very good game, but also very long(pause). Tutorials are awful. Subscribed. It has a stellar combat system, benefiting from simplifying the previous games combat, but involving the player more with spam attacks being a thing of the past. Played on and off because of lost in time, continuously has me cooked. Game is a little unpolished in its menus and performance but that does not hinder experience. Never played X1 though, so I can't say how they compare. I don't have words to describe how awesome was playing this game! I blasted my way out through XC2 and by the end, my play time was at 89 hours and I didn't notice at all. Wulfric has more bonuses with Driver Combo though, and he's also a Strength Mod Blade, so he'd probably be more useful as a ATK Blade. Negative part was the blade progression system. I was in love with every single character. I did find it kind of annoying that to keep up the fast paced gameplay I had to keep buying food. Haven't sunk this much time into an RPG since the original Dragon Age. Disclaimer: I do not own this model and the character. Another problem I had with this game is the menus. On one hand, the game play is pretty fun especially post game. Lack of objective marker helper-Geralts footsteps,Eagle Vision, The flies from MH World, all of those are incredibly helpful when you need to find your destination, but XB2 just gives you a very basic marker, with little to no help.Repetitive Quests. You can beat it without the extra stuff if you don't like it, but if you do, you'll love it as well. Everything you could want from a Xenoblade Chronicles sequel, its amazing, Very good game, but RNG is weird a little. #2 - The gacha system sucks. The game is slow and boring at the stars but if you continue pass through chapter 4 it becomes so much better and fun because all the game mechanics are unlocked. Story is decent, but not as good as the first game. Super durable and water-resistant. Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Software updates (latest: Ver. I was completely enveloped in the story. Obviously it's not the best game of the Xeno series but even that it's still fantastic. In fact the blade summoning system itself was annoying. Other than the field skills system the game was amazing. It's just so beautiful. Battle system is great. I remember playing the game for hours on end to see what happens next in the story. (Rex in particular, though there are flubbed lines from everybody.). Forgot your password? Not a strong recommendation for most people though. Wonderful plot and worldbuilding with addictive gameplay. Takes a looooong time for the story to get going and for you to get familiarized with combat. Some really cool ideas and moments, but the overall story lacks structure and there is a lot of jank in the gameplay, whether it be enemies falling down to planes you can't reach but keeping you in the fight, having to spend forever equipping aux cores to blades to equip to characters equipped with accessories and then taking them all off to equip blades that have specific field spells which create the most cumbersome key system I've ever seen, or the fact combat has nothing of interest to do until you become able to do blade combos. And I personally love Zenobia. 162 hours played... this games is a 10/10 without A FUCKING DOUBT. The story is great. Just got ship notification for this game (special edition!). PYRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! The game deals with an ever expanding plot and a world that has become so fixated on a god and heaven that have become like a fairy tale. The amount of content you get for what you pay in the dlc I think is very much worth it. While certain blades can be a bit much, I loved the characters, story, setting, and the world. Furthermore, it is gorgeous (albeit less so in handheld mode). I was a little disappointed at the ending. PLAY IT. Hell, after 90 hours I'm still not sure I fully comprehended everything. Also the story is messy and lacks a clear direction for much of the game aside from "get to the world tree." This is a perfect design for Pyra, Mythra and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. But upon reflection, I kinda don't like the art direction as much anymore, and the English voice acting was kinda iffy for me. The story is surprisingly good and grounded. First of all this game has a ton of frustrating side content. I think the dlc in this game is extraordinarily good compared to dlc in most other games. Combat system progressively gets better throughout the game, but battles are too damn long. Sticking them behind a RNG system, especially one as unforgiving as this, makes no sense to me, though. The weakest of the 3 but still a great game. Endgame is enjoyable. Game is a little bit to anime for some tastes. When this game was first announced I was shitting my pants with how excited I was considering a year prior I had played Xenoblade, my now favorite game of all time. Endgame is enjoyable. Both of their passive skills are insanely good though, adding so much damage at max affinity, but Wulfric add more (though Agate affect the whole party). characters, and later game mechanics ultimately made me adore the game, but there is no denying those early game problems, some of which persisted into later game as well. 2) a deep and rewarding battle system. It literally took 40 hours into the game before I completely understood how in depth the combat system is, and it truly doesn't make perfect sense until the end of the game. On the other hand, I felt that there was a lot of polishing that could have been done to the game. I think that Monolith Software is finding the balance between story and characters, my biggest issue with XC1 is that the characters didn't stand on par with the story, they were too generic, but here, even when they represent some cliches, they're likable and charming in their own way. This game made me do that. It allows you to transfer ownership of a blade from one driver to another. New Blades! This community is for fans of the Xenoblade JRPG game series (Xenoblade Chronicles, Xenoblade Chronicles X and Xenoblade Chronicles 2). It then change into a game that at surface level is easy to understand, but for those that want to delve deeper there is a lot more you can do with the mechanics. She is so funny. She is an avid geologist, with the grand aim of discovering a new mineral. Her skills increase party damage dealt by 60% at MAX affinity. The final score is thanks mainly to five factors: 1) one of the best soundtracks in RPG history. There's so many systems in the game that exist just for the sake of making things more complicated and confusing and adding no real value to the game. The music, world, cutscenes, and characters all come together wonderfully and it's inspiring. The lack of real post-game content is disappointing and the NG+ is nothing to be excited about. They should have made Rex older and less of a total dunce. Plus she dubbed Dromarch as Bromarch so now its Canon. Amazing game in pretty much every way if you're a massive JRPG fan. Really solid JRPG. I think the battle system is really unique, but the movement controls in the field are quite chunky feelings to me. Finch. The various Blades in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, not including the main Blades used by playable Drivers. It was well thought out, with each character going through some arc. Boy meets girl, girl is wanted cause she has incredible power, run away from the law. I doubt we'll ever see a game like this again. Impressive but a bit too complex for its own good. This game is kind of weird for me. Sometimes the voice acting seems poorly managed. Certain battles are fairly frustrating, although admittedly this was likely because as I got closer and closer to the end I gave up on levelling and side-quests and just tried to finish it straight away. Can only pick 90% or 100% ... would of done 96% near perfect for me, back to what made the original Xenoblade great, unlike the disappointing Xenoblade ChronIcles X. Although I didn't really like the area music, I adored the couple of tracks that did stand out. 3.2k. They all get the story across. A must play for an rpg fan. The game was mediocre at best until around the 20th hour. This mammoth of a game is frustrating and clunky but ultimately rewarding and addictive. My only gripe is that the combat is really hard to fully understand if you aren't paying super close attention to every hint and tutorial. Music is very good. However, herself isn't the best damage dealer. While I don't like it quite as much as the first, this game has so many things that I love that it's absurd. They are so annoying to navigate and I felt like they could have refined and simplified the menus a lot more. Glossy, matte, and transparent options in various sizes. Nothing feels worse than using a legendary core crystal with all your boosters only to pull one of the boring common blades. Fixed an issue associated with acquiring Perun’s Key Affinity Gift in which the counter for “small good deeds” required to earn it would stop, making the item unobtainable. It is a long game though and is in a more anime style so keep that in mind before purchasing this game. One of the best, if not the best, JRPGs I've played since the PS2 era. + -. This game meets the standards set by the original, and surpasses them by a light year. One of the funnest JRPG's I have ever played. The blade mechanic also pretty fun, but some blade design are clearly better than the other. Once I took the time to learn the mechanics, the fighting of this game began to flow. Combat is strategic and has tons of depth even if it takes time for it to fully open up. I really had some trouble getting into this game but when I reached chapter 4 after quite a few boring moments (the monsters just stand still don't seem to respond so well as in the previous games) it really got me. I'm going for 9/10.EDIT: Scores are in! A tough battle style to get used to but when you do, the world is crazy fun to explore and the story is janky and broken but I still love it. The world building and the ost were fantastic. I liked this game pretty well, it's fun and a story that, despite some cheesiness and questionable character design, hooked me plus a great soundtrack, which I'm a sucker for. The story. Perceval too. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts. Game is excellent! My biggest grips are the grinding, which was aggravating at times, and the fan service. Not the best Xenoblade, but still a great game. Characters aren't very likable at first, but like the story, the characters get better the more you progress. Blade designs are very cool (I STILL DON'T HAVE FUCKING KOS-MOS.) Looking forward to Torna! Best game I've ever played. It's a masterpiece. 4) cinematic (anime) cut scenes in abundance. Fanservice is super cringe, but doesn’t detract from the game. Back when I played the game I had to watch the long animation each time I summoned a blade. Pyra - Xenoblade Chronicles 2 [Ragdoll+Props] Subscribe. Bosses can be pretty 'cheese' at times. But I think they since removed the cap on the amount of food you can hold. The story is amazing, though the graphics suffer. The combat system in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 revolves around Drivers and their Blade weapons working ... and this role determines what the blade is good at. Nia is a good healer, but eventually you get a Blade that is good enough to manage healing all on its own and (imo) you don't need her. However, the biggest fault lies in some QoL aspects, such as skipping some scenes from the blade summoning and raising affinity for your blades, which has been largely fixed. Current rating is based first 4 chapters impression... 1st real jrpg good characters and gameplay Pyra>mythra. She is very perceptive, being able to see through the lie a mad scientist tried using to … I did forget to mention, but the soundtrack has some really stand out hits. I had to use external resources to learn how the battle system works. Some of the voiced lines, especially from the antagonists, are hilariously bad, completely breaks immersion and my interest in the plot. Agate is a good buffer I'd say. Only the sidequests are a bit too much of just searching for materials or ressources, but it's a must have for every Switch owner that doesn't hate JRPG's! It's also the first time I watched every single cutscene. The conclusion of Agate's questline, another game-long ordeal. There aren't really any wrong choices in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, there are just some that are better than others making for a smoother experience. I think the last couple chapters were really drawn out and that kind of made me lose all anticipation and interest in the game, leading to me eventually dropping it for a couple of months until they released the first batch of dlc which gave me enough motivation to finish the game. I have now played this game twice. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Update History. It's a worthy ass sequel. But once I sat down to try to beat it, I fell in love with the story. World is beautiful and filled with tons of side quests to do. What is your hype, SW? The RNG mechanics for viable characters is more gotcha game than home console game and often times is more annoying than it is exciting. However, I don't think it's worthy of a 10/10 just due to two big things. Time for the hype! By the end, I was even thinking about the game when I wasn't playing and I was actively seeking fan content about it on the internet. Going through a second time I corrected these mistakes and found that a lot of the frustration found in the game was my own fault. The characters are fun and fleshed out with side stories. ... Xenoblade Chronicles X and Xenoblade Chronicles 2). This was an absolutely marvelous game with gripping characters, story, side quests, and gameplay. Xenoblade 2 Okay, so. The battle mechanic are pretty overwhelming at first (tutorial still pop up even in the last hours of the game), but when you get the hang of it, its pretty fun. Especially Kosmos who I still haven't gotten to this day despite grinding for hours just to have a chance of getting her. Gacha element is alright. Start Location: ... which can be fulfilled by Blades such as Agate, Gorg, Adenine, and Brighid. Particularly because this is an achievement that won't disappear with her memories - every time a new driver happens to walk past a merchant of semi-precious stones, she gets reminded that one time, she succeeded. The proportions are so off its funny! The first 20-30 hours of this game, I did not like it. 7/10 - A good game for those who loves JRPGs. This review is from someone who's never played a Xenoblade-game before, but I've played plenty of JRPG/RPG/CRPG/SRPG's though. But as I got closer to the end I kind of got disinterested in the story.
